East Iceland Regional Information Centre

The East Iceland Infomation Centre is operated jointly with the East Iceland Marketing Office at Miðvangur 1-3 in Egilsstaðir. It provides tourists with overall information on geography, services and products in the region which covers the area from Vopnafjörður in the north to Djúpivogur in the south. On weekdays, the Information Centre is open from 9-17 and on Saturdays from 11-15. In summer (from June - August)  the Centre is open every weekday from 08:30 - 18:00 and on weekends from 09:00 - 17:00.
